    2024 Seoul Korea Open Tennis Tournament Successfully Concludes 


    The 2024 Seoul Korea Open Tennis Tournament, which took place at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Stadium from April 2nd to 6th, has concluded successfully. Im Ho Won (world ranking 16th) secured victory against the Japanese athlete Kouhei Suzuki (world ranking 20th) in the first round. However, he faced defeat in the second round against Ruben Spaargaren (Netherlands, world ranking 9th). Dutch players dominated the men's doubles (Tom Egberink- Maikel Scheffers) and women's singles (Aniek Van Koot). In the women's doubles, victory was claimed by Li Xiaohui-Wang Ziying from China, while in the quad singles, Guy Sasoon (Israel) emerged victorious, and in the quad doubles, Guy Sasoon - Elay Chayot secured the championship cup.


    Wheelchair tennis, a sport where players utilize wheelchairs to compete, debuted as a demonstration event at the Seoul 1988 and was subsequently adopted as an official Paralympic sport in 1992. Despite sharing similar rules and court dimensions with tennis, wheelchair tennis allows for two bounces before returning the ball.
