ESTABLISHMENT OF MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS

  • Korea Paralympic Committee(KPC), by law Art 54 (Establishment of member associations)
  • KPC can have its member associations in other cities, provinces and abroad to perform its duties.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Decide fundamental policies on sports for people with impairments in each region
  • Develop and supervise respective associations and sports associations for people with impairments
  • Encourage people with impairments to participate in sports activities by hosting or supporting Sports for All festivals
  • Train and dispatch sports teams to Korea Paralympic Games
  • Conduct researches on sports for people with impairments and spread sports in suburb areas.
  • Develop sports instructors for people with impairments
  • Develop special schools and physical education for people with impairments
  • Establish and manage sports facilities

OFFICE ORGANIZATION

  • Secretary general is appointed by the president in agreement with the governing board.
  • Structure, organization, and duties are different from cities and provinces
